Description
the channeled Scablands were made by out bursts floods associated with periods of glaciation forming lake Missoula in Montana, blocking the Clark fork river. The lake was 2,500 feet deep and 200 miles long. The ice dam suddenly let loose carving out the scablands we see today. This may have happened over100 times over thousands of years. Frenchman coulee is on old vantage Hwy and Hwy 90 at Quincy Washington.
