Description
Dry falls and the channeled Scablands were made by out bursts floods associated with periods of glaciation forming lake Missoula in Montana, blocking the Clark fork river. The lake was 2,500 feet deep and 200 miles long. The ice dam suddenly let loose carving out the scablands we see today. This may have happened over100 times over thousands of years. This lake is north of Soap lake on Hwy 17 and below Dry falls, Washington.
