Description
Mother's Day flood 2019 just about 5 inches of rain fell on the New Orleans during the early overnight hours and stopped after 6 am. This photo and a video were featured on Fox 8 flood coverage news... I waited til the rain stopped and walked around the corner in the Lower Garden District were I presently live. I had over the years seen street flooding but nothing quite like this.the water was completely across the St. Charles Avenue Street Car tracks where I was standing
Some business had minor water seep into their businesses just about every neighborhoods had flooding which normally flooding would not occur.
This view looking downtown towards Lee Circle. I had taken a 360 degree video footage which was also used as a backdrop for the 9 and 10 pm newscast. I walked for blocks and at one intersection was slightly high in other areas on the side streets appeared as white water rapids.....

Great capture! The floating umbrella is a gem, but one which no mother or anyone else in their right mind would want! Makes a great picture, though!
