Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Walking around Florence it is difficult to decide what to look at and even harder to decide what to photograph, everywhere you look there are ancient monuments and buildings, museums and art galleries, then there’s the iconic places like the Ponte Vecchio, the Torre di Arnolfo.
I think one of the best parts about it is you can just go everywhere, I must have walked for hours that day, but I decided that tonight would be standing on the Ponte alle Grazie was it for me as the sun was going to set behind the Ponte Vecchio, I think I stood there for 2 hours taking shots at different stages of the sun set. This one was taken after the sun had gone below the horizon and just as we were going into blue hour.
The Ponte Vecchio is a medieval stone closed spandrel segmented arch bridge that spans over the Arno river in Florence Italy. The only bridge in Florence spared from destruction during World War II, it is noted for the shops built along it; building shops on such bridges was once...
